Your mining server is extremely vulnerable to ddos attacks
I want to offer you info how to properly setup your protection, so that you can't be ddosed, at >least not with so little power. My price is 2 Bitcoin only.
Right now I'm running small (very small) attack which will not crash your server, but you should >notice it in logs. Just check it.
If I increase the attack size, I could completely crash, it would drop all connections and damage >would be big... Don't worry, I will not do it. Smiley
I want to offer you info on how I did it and what you have to do to prevent it. If interested pay me 2 BTC to 17aLGgw8AwJdqiBtMMG1QtQJgNQQkiyEsp
The real problem is that DD4BC hasn’t been caught. They started going after companies in September 2014, and international law enforcement has not yet been able to successfully track them. The cyberterrorists started with about five attacks each month on bitcoin mining operations, exchanges, and gambling sites. An example of such activity is the criminal group DD4BC — DDoS for Bitcoin — whose members were arrested by Europol in January 2016. Hackers blackmailed online casinos and then moved on to attack financial institutions in Switzerland, New Zealand and Australia. Bitcoin cyber criminals by the name of "DD4BC" have plotted to launch cyber attacks against some of our biggest financial institutions, including Westpac and Macquarie Bank. Source: Akamai. The exploits of DD4BC go back at least a year. In November of 2014, reports emerged of the group having sent a note to the Bitalo Bitcoin exchange demanding 1 Bitcoin in return for helping the site enhance its protection against DDoS attacks. At the same time, DD4BC executed a small-scale attack to demonstrate the exchange’s vulnerability to this method of disruption. Also read: Developer Creates Solution for Bitcoin Ransomware.
